ΰ€Άΰ€ΰ₯ΰ€€ΰ€Ώ or Sakti (Shakti) means energy, ability, strength, effort, power, capability, often the female principle of divine energy in Sanskrit
Born and raised in the Bay Area (California) to Indian parents, Deviβs style of yoga pays heed to her roots and the ancient traditions of the practice, while creating movement and flow that meet our culture today.
She has studied yogic and Hindu philosophy, which informs the way she teaches. Youβll hear her use Sanskrit, while teaching a fun, fiery flow set to a range of world music. Her goal is to marry East and West in a practice that gives her students the tools to breathe, and connect with their mind, body, and spirit.
She loves to move and is curious about where the body can go, so sheβll often explore interesting, wild shapes, while always grounding her students in breath and calm.
